In 1994, Gerald founded the internationally known group The Crabb Family and led them into a whirlwind of success. During their tenure, the group claimed numerous number-one songs, prestigious awards, and opportunities to minister on major platforms across the nation and abroad.
Gerald has appeared on many notable stages and broadcasts, including Gaither videos, TBN, The 700 Club, INSP, CMT, and GAC. He has also performed at Carnegie Hall, The Grand Ole Opry, The Ryman Auditorium, Red Rocks in Colorado, and The Brooklyn Tabernacle.

He has been honored with numerous songwriting awards over the years. In 2011, he received the Songwriter of the Year award at the 42nd Annual Dove Awards, along with Song of the Year for “Sometimes I Cry,” recorded by Jason Crabb.
